Azam Swati, the senior leader in the party of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was arrested by Pakistan's top investigative agency on Sunday for the second time in less than two months for his "highly obnoxious" campaign against senior military officials.
In October, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained Swati for a contentious tweet that was allegedly anti-military.
Since being freed on bond, the senator has continued to say that he was tortured while in jail and has called for the dismissal of two military officials, one of whom he used profanity against in a tweet on Saturday, according to the Dawn newspaper.
