Those who come to Parapookkara Pantallur Primary Health Center can get one liter of drinking water by paying one rupee coin. Iringalakuda Block Panchayat is providing drinking water facility at low cost by installing water ATM in front of the hospital through Janakiya Sutra Project.
Iringalakuda Block Panchayat has installed a water ATM at Pantallur Primary Health Center.
Panchayat President EK Anup said that the system available at the railway station and many other public places has also been implemented in the primary health center through Janakiya Sutra project.
Instead of plastic bottles, the project suggests taking water in containers or bottles. Water ATMs can be useful for patients coming to the hospital, congregants to the general public. Purified drinking water from the tank is available 24 hours a day through water ATMs.
Parapookkara gram panchayat president EK Anoop inaugurated the water ATM. Block Panchayat Welfare Standing Committee Chairman Karthika Jayan presided. Ward People's Representative KK Rajan, Medical Officer KK Sivarajan, Junior Health Inspector Aswathi VC, hospital authorities, locals and others participated.
