Renowned actor Aamir Khan recently made a strong statement about his decision to stay away from movies for the time being during the trailer launch event of 'Carry on Jatta 3.' Following the lukewarm response to his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' at the box office nine months ago, Aamir Khan expressed that he won't be taking up any film projects soon. While he attended the grand trailer launch of the Punjabi film, he spoke about his current situation.
Dressed in a simple cotton kurta and denim, Aamir Khan set the record straight in front of the media and the audience. Taking the mic, he revealed that he is not emotionally prepared to work in a film at the moment. Aamir shared how he is dedicating ample time to his family and friends, which is what he currently desires. Despite acknowledging that the focus should primarily be on 'Carry on Jatta,' he decided to address the curiosity surrounding his film choices. He stated, "I haven't made any decisions regarding acting in a film at the moment. Right now, I want to spend time with my family, and that's what I'm content doing. I will return to films when I feel emotionally ready."
Aamir also mentioned that it might take around a year and a half for him to announce his next project since his current priority is giving precedence to his family over his career. His last appearance on the big screen was a cameo in the Kajol starrer 'Salaam Venky.' The release of his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' in August last year received mixed reviews and faced a social media boycott trend, resulting in underwhelming box office performance.
