You have no legal right to live in your parents' house: Delhi High Court

Delhi High Court has clearly said n Tuesdy that a son has no legal right to live in his parents' house, while he can reside there only at their mercy.

The court further said that that a son, irrespective of his marital status, can only live with parents as longs as their relations are cordial. It does not mean that the parents have to bear his burden throughout his life, Justice Pratibha Rani said.

"Where the house is self-acquired house of the parents, son whether married or unmarried, has no legal right to live in that house and he can live in that house only at the mercy of his parents up to the time the parents allow," the court said in an order.
