Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Slams Opposition Parties in Punjab for Uniting Against AAP Government

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a scathing attack on the opposition parties in Punjab, accusing them of uniting against the AAP government. He claimed that those who had worked against the state's interests had come together, indicating their similarity.

Recently, all the opposition parties in the state held a joint event in Jalandhar, criticizing the state government for allegedly targeting political rivals. They rallied behind the editor of a prominent daily who had received a notice from the vigilance bureau regarding a memorial construction for martyrs. During this event, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu even embraced his political rival, Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, on stage.

In response to this apparent camaraderie, Bhagwant Mann took to Twitter to criticize the opposition parties. He tweeted, "When those who supported General Dyer, ordered tanks to attack religious institutions, committed sacrilege against Guru Granth Sahib, participated in framing the controversial farm laws, harbored smugglers, trivialized every issue, and profited from the construction of the memorial for martyrs come together, it means they are all one and the same."

In a single tweet, Mann targeted the Akalis and Congress, as well as individuals such as Majithia, Sidhu, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and Barjinder Singh Hamdard from the Ajit group. An AAP leader stated that the chief minister aimed to expose the double standards of the opposition leaders.

The AAP leader further pointed out that during political rallies, Sidhu had vowed to imprison Majithia in a drug case. However, according to the AAP leader, the Congress had made empty promises and took no action in the case. The recent event highlighted the collusion between the two parties, indicating their disregard for the interests of the people of Punjab.
