Nalin Kumar Kateel Urges Government to Extend Free Travel Benefits to Women on Private Buses

Karnataka BJP Chief Demands Free Travel for Women on Private Buses

Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel expressed his support for granting women free travel privileges on private buses as well. He warned that if the government fails to implement this policy, the BJP will join forces with women to stage a protest. Speaking at an event held at the Town Hall, Kateel highlighted the prevalence of private buses in coastal districts, including Dakshina Kannada.

Moreover, he criticized the lack of transparency in the Congress party's announcement of their five guarantees, emphasizing the absence of clear criteria. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had initially claimed that these guarantees would be available to all, but now they are being unveiled with specific guidelines and regulations. Kateel accused the government of misleading the public with their guarantee schemes.

In addition, Kateel accused the government of deceiving the public through the introduction of guidelines for the "Gruha Jyoti" scheme, which promises free electricity for up to 200 units. He claimed that the government had cheated the people by setting restrictive guidelines for availing the benefits.

Kateel also criticized the Congress government for the alleged mistreatment of power supply company employees, the prevalence of disputes between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law regarding household leadership, and the delayed implementation of welfare programs.

Kateel highlighted the contradiction between the Congress government's promise of free electricity for up to 200 units and the subsequent increase in electricity bills. He urged consumers not to pay these bills and assured them of the BJP's support.
