SRK's inspiring speech has life lessons for us

When Shah Rukh Khan was invited to address the graduating batch of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, his speech probably inspired everyone. But when it's King Khan, it can't be without quite a few chuckles. Shah Rukh Khan has a penchant for making good speeches and he didn't disappoint us one bit.

The Star shared anecdotes from his life to deliver an amusing and inspiring speech to the students

In his 23 minute long speech, SRK shared some nostalgic memories of his school days, spoke about how he was a naughty kid who had a strict father and also, in typical SRK manner, left the students with several motivational learnings.
One of the more inspirational points of the speech was when he said, "Whatever you're doing, do it once; then do it one more time even more carefully. Practice will make everything seem easier."

He addressed the pressure that students giving (board) exams have to go through, by saying, "There will be a time when nothing will go right. Don't panic. With a little embarassement, you will survive." He also later added, "sometimes in order to move forward you might need to take a few steps back. There's no loss in doing something that hurts in the short run but proves worthwhile in the long run."
But of course, can any speech of his be bereft of humour? "My reason to be here is the same as your elder brother or sister being allowed to do things that you are not allowed at home. I am like them, but older. What I say may make sense to your mom or dad, who will remember it years later for the inapporiate things I am about to say tonight."
"But I promise to keep this crisp and short. 20 minutes, tops. Feel free to walk out in case of bladder problems. Feel free because essentially that's what my talk is about: feeling free," he said.
