Resilience to Success: The Inspiring Journey of Jaspinder Singh

Success cannot be achieved through shortcuts. Jaspinder Singh, an alumnus of Akal Academy Muktsar Sahib, exemplifies dedication, resilience, and unwavering determination. He is the 1st IAS 33rd Rank Holder from Akal Academy Muktsar Sahib and the 3rd from The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib. Jaspinder overcame challenges and paved his path to success, leaving an indelible mark on the esteemed halls of Akal Academy Sri Muktsar Sahib.

From the beginning, Jaspinder aspired to join the civil service. Supported tirelessly by his father, Nachattar Singh, a farmer, and his mother, Navdeep Kaur, a devoted housewife, Jaspinder's abilities were believed in. During his coaching in Delhi, his mother stood by him, ensuring he had the essentials for sustenance.

Akal Academy Muktsar Sahib provided Jaspinder with a nurturing environment. The academy instilled quality value-based education that combined modern scientific knowledge with spiritual teachings. Regular recitation of Nitnem became an integral part of Jaspinder's daily routine, strengthening his spiritual connection and preserving his cultural heritage. This deepened his love for Gurbani, fortified his mental resilience, and shaped him into a well-rounded individual.

Recognizing Jaspinder's potential, the teachers at Akal Academy encouraged him to aim high in the civil service. Their unwavering support and motivation enabled him to realize his full potential. Overcoming stage fear was a challenge for Jaspinder, but the compassionate and visionary principal of Akal Academy provided numerous opportunities for him to speak in front of an audience. This pivotal support helped Jaspinder develop his oratory skills, boost his confidence, and prepare him for future challenges.

Jaspinder consistently achieved outstanding academic results, scoring a 10 CGPA in Grade 10 (2011-12) and 93.4% in Grade 12. Throughout his schooling, he never relied on external tuition, which attests to the exceptional quality of education and guidance provided at Akal Academy.

Embracing setbacks with resilience, Jaspinder never allowed failure to deter him. In his first attempt at the UPSC examination, he missed the cutoff by just one mark, scoring 91 when the cutoff was set at 92. Despite the disappointment, Jaspinder refused to let failure weaken his determination. Instead, it fueled his drive to work even harder toward his goal.

Remaining grounded and choosing to serve the nation sets Jaspinder apart in an era where many youths aspire to settle abroad. His decision to stay in the country and contribute to its growth and development aligns with the vision of Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, the founder of Akal Academies, who believed in nurturing students to become IAS and IPS officers, holding positions of influence for the betterment of the nation.

Jaspinder's achievements have not gone unnoticed. He received a token of appreciation from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who recognized his exceptional performance in the UPSC examination. Dr. Davinder Singh Ji, President of the Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, also honored him during Sant Samagam at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. Despite his accomplishments, Jaspinder remains humble and grateful to his teachers, who played instrumental roles in his success. A day before joining the IAS in Sangrur, he visited Akal Academy Muktsar Sahib to express his gratitude for their unwavering support and guidance.
