On Sunday, veteran Indian singer Usha Uthup recalled how late former President Nelson Mandela once arranged for her to meet and perform with her idol, the legendary South African singer Miriam Makeba.
 

Uthup gave just two performances during her brief tour: one each in Johannesburg and Durban, South Africa, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
 

At the performance on Sunday night, Uthup recalled how the tour's organisers had taken her to visit Mandela at his office 25 years earlier when she had last been South Africa.
