JSW Energy Subsidiary Signs 300 MW Wind Power PPA with SECI for Maharashtra Projec

JSW Renew Energy Three Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW ISTS-connected wind power project in Maharashtra. The project is part of SECI Tranche-XII and is expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months. The tariff for the supply of power has been set at Rs 2.94/KWh. JSW Energy has set ambitious targets of reaching 10 GW by 2025 and 20 GW capacity by 2030. With a locked-in capacity of 9.9 GW, the company is well-positioned to achieve these targets ahead of schedule. In addition to the wind power project, JSW Energy has also expanded into the energy storage space and has secured 3.4 GWh of energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro-pumped storage projects.
