Ishan Kishan Likely to Wait for Red-Ball Debut, KS Bharat Expected to Continue in World Test Championship Final

Saba Karim, former India wicketkeeper, suggests that Ishan Kishan may have to wait for his debut in red-ball cricket, and India might opt to persist with KS Bharat in the World Test Championship final.

"At this stage, I don't believe they will consider playing Ishan Kishan. I think they will continue with KS Bharat, considering his wicketkeeping performances in the previous home series against Australia earlier this year," Karim stated. He also mentioned that Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma, in their roles as coach and captain, respectively, prioritize providing a sense of security to the players, which suggests they will stick with Bharat.

When asked if Kishan's dynamic batting style could be the X-factor in the absence of Rishabh Pant, Karim responded, "If they had given Ishan an opportunity in the home series, there might have been a chance. However, since they haven't done so, I don't think they will take the risk of playing him straightaway in such a crucial game."opt to persist with KS Bharat in the World Test Championship final.
