IHCL Opens First Hotel in Jammu, Expanding Presence in Jammu and Kashmir

 Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the largest hospitality company in India, has announced the opening of its inaugural hotel in Jammu, located in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The newly launched Vivanta Jammu, City Centre is situated in the heart of the city and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his excitement about the hotel's opening, stating that it marks IHCL's entry into the gateway city of Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted Jammu's emergence as an important economic hub and a thriving tourist destination. The addition of Vivanta Jammu, City Centre complements IHCL's existing hotels in Srinagar and Katra, further strengthening its presence in the union territory.

Vivanta Jammu, City Centre boasts 90 well-appointed rooms and suites with a contemporary design. The hotel features a variety of dining options, including the all-day diner Mynt offering international and local cuisine, the specialty restaurant The Grill, and the bar Wink. Guests can also enjoy state-of-the-art health and wellness facilities, including a rooftop pool for relaxation. The hotel's versatile banqueting space spanning over 3,800 sq. ft. is well-suited for meetings and social events.

Mr. Ujjwal Bhimwal, General Manager of Vivanta Jammu, City Centre, described the hotel as stylish and sophisticated, catering to both business and leisure travelers. He eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome guests to this new address in the city.

Jammu, located on the banks of the Tawi River, serves as the winter capital of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and is renowned as the City of Temples due to its ancient temples.

With the addition of Vivanta Jammu, City Centre, IHCL now operates five hotels in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including one currently under development.
